Ashley Smith

Ashley started his journey in Optics in 2005, after falling into the industry. He has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge within the multiple sector.
In 2009, Ashley started to study at the well-respected ABDO college. After completing a 3 year course in ophthalmic dispensing, Ashley qualified in January 2013 to become a Dispensing Optician.
Ashley joined the Leightons team in June 2016 as Branch Manager, and was promoted to Branch Director in 2018.
His specialist interest within Optics is myopia management. With myopia (shortsightedness) becoming increasingly common, and the risks that are associated with it, it’s great to be able to offer a treatment plan to reduce those risks as much as possible. With more options becoming available, this means that it is possible to create the best treatment plan for each individual patient.
Ashley takes a keen interest in your eyewear needs, and will always help you select the correct frame and lenses for you.
