ALL ABOUT READYMADE READING GLASSES
As we get older the natural lens inside the eye begins to harden and loses its ability to focus on near objects and reading print. This process happens slowly throughout life and you may not notice any changes until after the age of 40 and is called Presbyopia. Reading glasses can help by providing a simple, effective solution for short term close tasks.
These reading glasses are a simple solution to help you with reading and other close up work for occasional use. They are completely safe and will not harm or make permanent changes to your eyes. However they are one size fit all, the frame may not fit you perfectly, the lenses are exactly the same power for each eye and you may not look directly through the centre of the lenses. This can cause headaches and eyestrain for some people
Custom-made reading glasses purchased from a Dispensing Optician at Leightons Opticians and Hearing Care will be made to your exact prescription found during your eye examination. Everyone’s prescription is quite unique and identifies even the smallest of differences between your two eyes. The frame will fit comfortably and the lenses will be made very accurately so that you look through the very centre of them making your vision comfortable for prolonged reading.
You MUST have regular eye examinations with a qualified optometrist to ensure your vision is stable and that your eyes remain healthy. You can book an appointment for an eye examination at Leightons Opticians and Hearing Care by dialing 0800 40 20 20.
