Phillipa graduated from the University of Cape Town with a degree in Audiology before moving to the UK in 2015 to join the NHS. During her time with the NHS, Phillipa developed her clinical skills and learnt to adopt a quick-thinking approach to more complex patient cases.
“I believe that patient-centred care is the best way to really look after a patient. Having the time to spend with a patient is critical: it gives me the chance to find the perfect hearing aid technology for an individual, as well as ensuring that the patient’s aftercare is comprehensive. Joining Leightons gives me the opportunity to do this where I haven’t been able to before. I also have access to an amazingly wide variety of hearing technologies and accessories that can be tailored to the patient’s specific needs.
In my spare time, I am an avid explorer of new countries and have set my sights on travelling further afield with a bucket list of beautiful places to visit.”
