Meet the branch manager at Leightons Wokingham.
Madeline qualified as an optometrist in 1976. She's worked for Leightons Opticians for many years, and in the Wokingham franchise since it opened in 1996. She became a co-owner in 2003. Outside work, she enjoys reading, cooking (a lot) and gardening (a little!).
Betina has been at Leightons Wokingham since 2004. She has had a 30 year career in Optics and still loves it! Betina is a qualified dispensing optician and is responsible for most spectacle ordering in the practice. Betina also chooses our frame stock, which she very much enjoys as she is a proud spectacle wearer herself.
Jackie is usually the first person to greet you or take your call at Leightons Wokingham. She began working for Leightons in 1977 as a receptionist at Leightons Woodley when Tim Barrett was a trainee there. After a break to travel with her Forces husband, she returned in 2000 to Leightons Wokingham and has been there ever since! Jackie covers all reception matters, processes contact lens orders and assists the audiologist with general hearing aid repairs.
Optical Hearing Assistant
Lindsay has been at Leightons Wokingham since September 2000. Originally she worked as a receptionist, but in recent years completed her Optical Diploma and now deals with branch returns, credit control, frame styling, general administraton, assists the dispensing opticians as needed and performs tuition appointments for new contact lens customers.
Jeannie joined Leightons Wokingham just over a year ago after retiring from her full time role in Financial Services. She has been a contact lens customer of Tim Barrett's for over 30 years, both in Woodley and Wokingham, and was delighted when Tim offered her a role at Wokingham. Jeannie covers all reception duties including appointments, contact lens orders and other admin jobs. Although every day brings new challenges, she loves every minute of it.
