How does paying for my glasses monthly work?

Paying monthly for your glasses is simple, flexible, and designed to make managing your eye care more convenient. We've broken the process down into six easy steps to show you exactly how it works:

Visit your local practice

Visit your nearest Leightons branch or book an appointment online. Our team is ready to assist you with any questions and guide you through the process.

Choose your glasses

With a wide range of prescription glasses and sunglasses from leading brands, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from. Our expert team will help you find the perfect pair to suit your vision and style.

Calculate your payment plan

Once you’ve selected your glasses, a friendly member of staff will work with you to create a personalised payment plan. The plan will be based on the cost of your glasses and your preferences. We’ll also discuss the simple terms of the agreement and let you know the exact monthly payments.

Make your initial payment

To get started, you’ll pay a 10% deposit. After that, the remaining balance is split into 9 equal monthly payments, which will be set up to come directly from your bank account via Direct Debit.

Receive your glasses

Once your glasses are ready, we’ll contact you to let you know when to come in and collect them. While you wait, rest assured that your eyewear is being expertly crafted. You can look forward to wearing your new pair with confidence.

As you enjoy your new glasses, your payments will be conveniently taken each month. You can settle the balance early at any time with no additional charges, giving you the flexibility to pay off your plan on your own terms.

How much does it cost to pay for glasses monthly?

The minimum spend to use our See Now Pay Later plan is £250. Beyond that, the cost of your glasses will depend on your chosen frames, lenses, and any additional coatings or treatments. With a customised plan, you’re in control of your monthly payments. In accepting a See Now, Pay Later Payment Plan you are accepting the following terms:

  • The minimum amount to spread your payments using the See Now, Pay Later payment plan is £250.00 including any fees and/or products.
  • Maximum term for payment is 10 months, the first payment being your deposit which is a minimum of 10% of the retail value. The remaining balance is then spread over 9 payments as detailed by your Direct Debit mandate.
  • A maximum total outstanding balance of £2,000 applies per customer on the payment plan at any time.
  • If we are unable to collect your Direct Debit we will attempt to collect the amount again within 15 days from your bank.
  • If the Direct Debit fails for a second time, or if no payment is received against the payment plan for a period of two months or more, then your payment plan will be suspended and the full balance of the remaining amount will be payable. The branch will contact you in this situation to make arrangements to pay.
  • You have the right to end the agreement at any time by paying off the remaining balance in full. Your current balance can be requested via your branch at any time.
  • If you wish to make an additional purchase, this can be added to your plan at any time, up to a maximum of three purchases. The monthly payments will be combined together for whatever period of time the original plan has left to run. Once this original payment plan has been completed you will continue to make payments for your additional plan until that has been paid in full. Details of the breakdown will be fully explained and detailed in your Direct Debit agreement.
  • Payments will appear on your bank statement as “Eyecare Payments”.
