Kiki Soteri

Head of Clinical Services

Kiki has been an optometrist for more than 25 years, with experience of clinical and professional service delivery across hospital, community high street practice and university settings. She holds roles in education – as a member of the GOC’s education visitor panel and a visiting lecturer to University of Hertfordshire for postgraduate courses in optometry. Kiki has been a trustee to the board of The College of Optometrists and has contributed to relevant educational and regulatory committees, panels and groups.

As a university lecturer, she developed the UK’s first problem-based learning module for clinical case management in optometry. She continues to use the same approach when working with colleagues at conferences and training sessions. Kiki qualified as therapeutic optometrist independent prescriber in 2011, and has specialist interests in children's vision, glaucoma and medical retina. She now supports fellow colleagues to develop specialisms via postgraduate qualifications.

Outside of work she likes to explore landscapes and culture, enjoys live music and yoga. Although naturally risk-averse, she has challenged gravity a few times skiing with friends and family.
